Dimensions: 11 x 8 x 1 Media: Intaglio print. Soft ground and aquatint Artist Statement : While walking a path in the town of Onomichi a strange doorway appeared, with interesting stone work on the path and retaining wall. The building looked as if inspired by an Escher drawing.
Dimensions: 10 x 8 x 1 Media: Intaglio print. Softground, aquatint, and drypoint Artist Statement : This image was inspired by a troubled expression captured in a photograph. It provided an opportunity to experiment with a range of engraving and etching techniques.
Dimensions: 24 x 20 x 1 Media: Aquatint Etching Artist Statement : My landscapes typically capture the essence of the urban environment by utilizing the endless tonalities available in printmaking. It is with these rendered impressions that I depict a more refined interpretation of the compositions before me. My use of shadows, texture, and value establish areas of movement and light that create a certain mood, and help the viewer understand my vision of the contemporary landscape.

Dimensions: 15 x 11 Media: Xylography Artist Statement : My pieces are small. Mi casa is a depiction of the barrio I grew up in, decades ago. Currently working on a family lineage project, this is part of that.
Dimensions: 16 x 16 Media: 2 color screenprint on Stonehenge paper Artist Statement : I seek joy, order, and harmony in my work as an antidote to the forces of chaos and rapid change in the world that are beyond my control. Printmaking satisfies my love for process and planning; and it has taught me to incorporate spontaneity and surprise into my practice. I trained in architecture and design, which are the inspiration for my printmaking. Creativity thrives within set boundaries, so I set rules for myself: a pattern, a color palette, a strategy for action. I’m interested in pushing the boundaries of my rules, looking for unexpected juxtapositions, playfulness, and variety within the system I’ve set in motion. I pursue variety, diversity, options, possibilities and surprise. I use pattern and geometry as generators of form to explore new paths in printmaking.
Dimensions: 70 x 6 x 1.5 Media: Mixed media monoprints, intaglio, silkscreen, drawing, collage Artist Statement : This is one of the scrolls I completed in 2021 at a month long artist residency in Athens, Greece. It is loose graphic narrative expressing the crossroads of my personal past with the past of ancient Greece, as well as events ocurring in the news at the time. I chose the format of scrolls because they linked the ancient to the present and because they tell a story in a way that unfolds in a sensorial manner. I am currently expanding these scrolls in length and evolving them with new media. They contain many elements of printmaking in that I literally cut up many many of my prints to include fragments of 'impressions'. I purposefully created my own 'chaos' of memory, in the time of lingering Co-vid and a period of loneliness in my own life ( I was the only artist in residency at the time, who ventured abroad during Covid).
Dimensions: 12 x 9 Media: Linoleum Print Artist Statement : The image was inspired by a visit to Aix. I was drawn to the angles, patterns, textures and character of the buildings.
Dimensions: 28 x 34 x 1 Media: intaglio Artist Statement : Approaching printmaking like a collage artist, I frequently take old etching plates I have used before and shuffle them around until something catches my eye. I then start to develop and unify the disparate parts. Any meaning the final image has comes as the print develops.
Dimensions: 8 x 8 x 1 Media: Screen print on mono print background. Artist Statement : A stylized landscape at night under the dazzling northern lights.
Dimensions: 16 x 20 x 1 Media: Block print triptych Artist Statement : While outside one afternoon, a sudden rainstorm hit and this artwork depicts the movement of the pedestrians on foot and on bicycles rushing through the downpour. The block print is one of a series that used multiple blocks to create a variety of related compositions.
Dimensions: 18 x 10 x 1 Media: Block print with cut out photography details Artist Statement : This block print became a mixed media composition with the addition of the photos of leaves. It documents my young granddaughter playing outside in with fallen leaves. My grandchildrens' movements, activities and joy are regular inspirations for my art.
Dimensions: 22 x 15 x 1 Media: Gelli printed papers and using ink and acrylic paint. Artist Statement : My name is Kay Fuller and I am a visual artist based in Annapolis. I have always been fascinated by the concept of Life Cycles and how everything is constantly evolving and changing. Through my art, I strive to capture this dynamic energy by exploring the use of color and composition. My medium for this piece is gelli printing, which allows me to experiment with different layers and textures, adding depth and complexity to my pieces. I use these prints as collage to create a unique visual narrative in each artwork. By blending different techniques and mediums, I hope to bring a fresh and playful perspective to the ever-changing world around us.
Dimensions: 9 x 12 Media: Screen print, stencil and watercolor on paper. Artist Statement : This print is a reaction to the bombing of a maternity ward in Ukraine during the first few months of Russia’s 2022 offensive into Mariupol. The woman being carried on the stretcher later died, along with her baby. Her name was Irina Kalilina. Her husband was interviewed by the media after her death. During the early days of the war in Ukraine, when I watched all of the women and children leaving, and others staying behind, it was really moving. A woman on the news in one of the Ukrainian cities that was being attacked said this phrase "for what!?" about the senselessness of war and the arbitrary nature of the Russian attack. It was devastating to watch.
Dimensions: 16 x 12 Media: Silkscreen Artist Statement : Combined images of a sculpture at the Picasso Museum and street umbrellas from southern France in Nice and Antibes merged and manipulated to comprise this image and printed in CMYK 4-color process inks
Dimensions: 16 x 12 Media: Silkscreen Artist Statement : It's fascinating what you can see and visualize in the worn down bottom paint of a boat - the disintegrating paint exposes various shades of color along with the patterns of fiberglass and epoxy to become an alternate reality. In this piece I photographed various patterns and brought them into Photoshop to merge and manipulate the various elements into an image somewhat reminiscent of a landscape in a tempestuous storm with full moon rising. I then separated the layers into CMYK and silkscreened those layers of ink to create the final image.
Dimensions: 14 x 11 Media: Black oil-based ink linocut print 1/12 Artist Statement : I love going through my family's photo albums. Each photo gives a lens into the lives of my relatives during a tumultuous time of growing up in Brooklyn during the 80s. This print is a tribute to my late aunt Patricia, who had a good day in Bushwick.
